I put link 1 as it had all facts in one place. Tongue in cheek - yesterday or day before yesterday, I put one comment in Outlook on "massacres" and some people were genuinely scandalized. About the truth of AMT or OIT, I would go by the evidence of mitochondrial DNA and linguistics..
I think Periyar movement though influential, was not very popular. Insistence of one language for national integration was the wrong thing as proven by what happened in Bangladesh.
